The European People’s Party (EPP), the largest transnational party of Europe, offers at its headquarters in Brussels internships of three to six months for university graduates of Europe.

Experience European political life

The EPP internship is focused on immersing the successful candidates with the short-term and long-term political planning and activities of the Party: organizing meetings and conferences, preparing reports and press releases, editing publications, updating the website and databases, communicating with member-parties, EPP Groups, associations and other affiliated organizations, liaising with officials from the European institutions, etc.

Views from our interns

“The EPP’s internship program was a real eye opener for me. It gave me access to the European political scene in ways that I couldn’t have fathomed prior to it. I strongly recommend the internship program of the EPP to any individual eager to learn the inns and outs of European Politics.”
Nicholas Alexandris, Greece, Intern from February to July 2007

“This internship was a great experience for me. It gave me an opportunity to get an insight into the structure and functioning of a transnational political party as well as into the work of the EU institutions. I have learned a lot while carrying out different tasks and interacting with the EPP colleagues.”
Annamaria Forgacs, Hungary, Intern from March to September 2007

“Since EPP is one of the major political forces in the European Union, the internship offers possibility for a valuable glimpse of the dynamics and politics of the European Union itself. The EPP Headquarters are a good starting point for any future career in the EU system"
Marianne Bardsgjerde, Norway, Intern from September 2007 to March 2008

“I was able to get involved in lots of different areas. I particularly enjoyed working in the press service and helping the political advisers in their research and preparation for meetings. I also had the possibility to help organize events in the Party and was able to interact with all levels of people.”
Nesrin Aydoganoglu, Turkey, Intern from November to May 2008

“I will definitely recommend the EPP internship to anyone interested in acquiring an invaluable understanding of the European political life. It not only gave me a unique opportunity to see how the biggest party in the EU works, but it also provided me a rich and challenging personal experience that I am sure will be very useful for my professional future.”
Jessica Benito, Spain, Intern from March to August 2008
