EU and non-EU heads of state and government and opposition leaders of the European People's Party (EPP) and the Presidents of the European Council, the European Commission and the European Parliament–
Donald TUSK,
Jean-Claude JUNCKER and
Antonio TAJANI – have been invited to participate at the upcoming EPP Summit, to take place in Sofia on 16 May. As the Western Balkans are a high priority of the EU Bulgarian Presidency spearheaded by Bulgarian Prime Minister
Boyko BORISSOV and of the EPP, the agenda for the EPP summit will focus on the preparation for the EU-Western Balkans Summit on 16 and 17 May.
EPP President
Joseph DAUL will host the Summit. The Chairman of the EPP Group in the European Parliament,
Manfred WEBER, EPP Secretary
General Antonio LÓPEZ-ISTÚRIZ and the members of the EPP Presidency will participate.

The meeting will also include EPP heads of state and government as well as party leaders from Western Balkans countries.
