On Monday 6 and Tuesday 7 May, Ursula von der Leyen, EPP Lead Candidate, is in Poland, for visits and campaign activities alongside EPP member parties Civic Platform (PO) and the Polish People’s Party (PSL).
On Monday afternoon, Ursula von der Leyen will go to Wadowice to visit the family home of Pope John Paul II, after which she will lay a tribute at the John Paul II monument.
On Tuesday morning, Lead Candidate Ursula von der Leyen will deliver a keynote speech at the European Economic Congress in Katowice alongside the Prime Minister of Poland and Civic Platform leader Donald Tusk.
The candidate’s speech will be livestreamed on her X account, and photos of the visit will be available on Flickr.
After her speech, the Lead Candidate will meet candidates and representatives from PO and PSL for a personal exchange and a photo opportunity.
Ursula von der Leyen will then visit the Porcelain Factory, an industrial complex from the 19th century that now houses innovative and creative businesses including IT, design, coworking, medical clinics and more.
