EPP Employment, Social Policy, Health and Consumer Affairs (EPSCO) Ministers, chaired by Martine DEPREZ, Minister of Health and Social Security, Luxembourg, met this morning in Luxembourg to prepare for the upcoming Council agenda, focused on health policies.   Ministers opened the meeting, discussing concrete ways to implement European-wide prevention policies, including strategies to reduce tobacco, nicotine products, and alcohol consumption.   Further discussions addressed mental health policies in the digital era, putting an emphasis on social media, and on children’s access to pornography online. They underlined the importance of early prevention and of an EU cross-border cooperation, and discussed the possibility of preventing children’s access to social networks and pornographic websites.   Ministers also had an exchange of views on the cybersecurity of hospitals and healthcare providers, discussing on the weaknesses of our European medical facilities.   The meeting concluded with a broad exchange of views on the national situation in each Member State.
