We strongly condemn the recent misuse of police authority in the confiscation of the mobile phones belonging to the vice-president of the SDS party, an act that took place several months before the general elections. The police and the judiciary must be independent. Slovenia’s place must remain firmly within the European democratic tradition. The EPP will do everything in its power to prevent further harm to Slovenia’s institutions and democracy at the hands of the Golob government.
