EU heads of state and government and opposition leaders of the European People’s Party (EPP) and the Presidents of the European Council, the European Commission and the European Parliament – Donald TUSK, Jean-Claude JUNCKER and Antonio TAJANI – will participate in the upcoming EPP Summit, taking place in Salzburg on 19 September. The agenda of the EPP summit will focus on the preparation for the informal meeting of EU heads of state and government on 19 and 20 September. EPP President Joseph DAUL and Chancellor Sebastian KURZ will host the Summit. EPP Secretary General Antonio LÓPEZ-ISTÚRIZ and the members of the EPP Presidency will participate. Nicos ANASTASIADES (Cyprus), Boyko BORISSOV (Bulgaria), Viktor ORBÁN (Hungary), Andrej PLENKOVIĆ (Croatia) and Leo VARADKAR (Ireland), EPP heads of state and government in the European Council, will be present. Opposition leaders Pablo CASADO (Spain), Adrian DELIA (Malta), Janez JANŠA (Slovenia), Kyriakos MITSOTAKIS (Greece), Rui RIO (Portugal) and Laurent WAUQUIEZ (France) will participate. The Chairman of the EPP Group in the European Parliament, Manfred WEBER will participate. Brexit Chief Negotiator Michel BARNIER will attend.
