The European People’s Party (EPP) will hold its Congress on 6-7 March 2024 at Romexpo, Bucharest, Romania.
Co-hosted by Partidul Naţional Liberal (PNL), EPP President Manfred WEBER and EPP Secretary General Thanasis BAKOLAS, the Congress will bring together our political family to reaffirm our political values and principles.
The Congress programme will focus on the preparations for the European Parliament elections in June, adopt the EPP manifesto, as well as elect the party's lead candidate. This is a last reminder that journalists who wish to attend the EPP Congress must register by 2 March 2024 via the following e-form: If you have already registered, it is not necessary to do so again. No extension for registration will be granted.
Media ID requirements Journalists must have a valid form of media identification to gain access to the Congress venue - national press ID card or European Council press accreditation badge. Additionally, journalists must bring their passport or National ID card.
Those who do not hold a valid press ID must, in advance, send a scanned letter to, signed by the editor-in-chief of their media organisation that confirms their status as a journalist and states that they are covering the EPP Congress for the aforementioned media outlet. A template for this letter is available and can be downloaded from the Congress website here:
Registered journalists are requested to present their national press ID card, European Council press card or letter from their editor in hard copy when they arrive to collect their accreditation. Journalists who have not registered until 2 March 2024 will not be allowed to enter the Congress venue.
