The European People’s Party (EPP) will host a leaders’ meeting in Riga on 21 May in preparation of the EU’s Eastern Partnership (EaP) Summit, which will take place later on 21 and 22 May. The EPP leaders’ meeting will be chaired byJoseph DAUL, EPP President. Several members of the EPP Presidency will also attend. In addition to the President of the European Council, Donald TUSK, the following EPP heads of state and government from the European Union will be present: Laimdota STRAUJUMA (Latvia - Presidency of the Council of the European Union), Nicos ANASTASIADES (Cyprus), Boyko BORISSOV (Bulgaria), Angela MERKEL (Germany) and Viktor ORBÁN (Hungary). Moreover, Minister of Justice Urmas REINSALU (Estonia), Minister for European Affairs Dara MURPHY (Ireland) as well as opposition leaders from EU Members States Janez JANŠA (Slovenia), Andrius KUBILIUS (Lithuania), Antonis SAMARAS (Greece) and Jan FIGEL' (Slovakia) will participate. From the Eastern Partnership countries, EPP heads of state and government Petro POROSHENKO (Ukraine), Serzh SARGSYAN (Armenia), and Chiril GABURICI(Moldova) will attend the meeting. In addition to former President and party leaderMikheil SAAKASHVILI (Georgia), former Prime Minister and party leader Vlad FILAT(Moldova) and Minister of Education Armen ASHOTYAN (Armenia), EaP party leadersArthur BAGHDASARYAN (Armenia), Alaksiej JANUKIEVICH (Belarus), Vitali KLITSCHKO (Ukraine),  Anatoly LEBEDKO (Belarus) and opposition leaders Davit BAKRADZE (Georgia) and Alaksandr MILINKIEVIČ (Belarus) will be present.
